John Trivelli (born and raised in South Philly) and Barbara Trivelli (born in Philly, raised in South Jersey), married for 50 years, accomplished MUCH together.  Raising a family while proudly serving his beloved country, Dad was passionate about 3 things; His wife, his country, and FOOD. After 20 years in the United States Army, including tours of duty in, Korea, Viet Nam, Thailand and Germany, Retired in beautiful Colorado Springs. His new life in retirement focused around mom’s dream – The Hoagie Shop -.

July 16^th, 1976 was opening day. Together, with the help of their three sons, John, Steve and Tony, the first Trivelli's Hoagies was established. Many years past before they saw a profit, and many of their meals consisted of whatever was on our menu. Without a large customer base, somebody had to eat the food before it went bad. Holding firm to their dream, knowing that once people got wind of the original Philly Style Hoagies, sales would increase, and they could make a decent living providing to the public a Hoagie deserving of the title, "Philadelphia Style".

Sadly, July 16^th, 2005 saw the passing of John Sr, our dad, but not before he saw his, and moms dream of a successful shop flourish. Now in the 2^nd generation ownership, the dream continues, and how our customers still love watching mom slinging hoagies during lunch.

Through the last 33 years, the Trivelli's are very thankful that their customer base has grown tremendously, and the many faithful customers continue to delight in partaking in the only original Philadelphia Style Hoagie available in this area. Our thanks to our customers is expressed by continued integrity, to provide the best tasting, most jammed packed Hoagies at the fairest prices possible.

The future of Trivelli's is to continue to serve the best Hoagies available. To keep the integrity of their product, and to insure the best service possible. To give to the community, which is covered throughout the city limits with every major franchise in the country, what they promise. An original Philadelphia Style Hoagie that can be topped by none.
